A week ago I went to see Stevie Nicks at Madison Square Garden. The Pretenders opened for her, and it was a killer concert. I’m dating myself, but Fleetwood Mac was my FAVORITE in high school.
Anyway, the point is that sitting there in a stadium of 20,000 people watching Stevie Nicks and Chrissie Hynde (two ladies in their late 60’s), rock out on stage for over two hours like two teenagers (in sky high heels no less), was inspiring to say the least!
I got me thinking…
…about what we need as women to live long, happy and fulfilled lives. I think back to six years ago and I know that if I had continued on the film & TV production trajectory, I was gonna be on the fast train to burnout city.
Every time I talk to women these days, they are swamped, tired, overwhelmed, burned out, and just barely scraping by. Do you feel this way and get that sense from the women in your life?
So I wonder, what is it going to take for us to not feel that way anymore?
Well, my dear friend Jeannine Yoder says it takes commitment. It takes actually saying “even though I already feel like I don’t have enough time to do everything I want to do, I am gonna create space for ritual and practice, so I can get grounded and create the life experience that I want.”
If there is a human being on this planet who knows how to help women live the life of their dreams, it is Jeannine. And I really want you to meet her in the Mentor Masterclass Holiday Challenge she’s hosting this month.
We even made a fun, cute video about this topic for you!
It features a different video each day from a celebrity coach or mentor, sharing a practice that she uses during the season and throughout the year to stay soulfully grounded and in a space of strength and leadership. (I’m in it, and can’t wait for you to hear what I have to say!)
Here’s a few other rockstar coaches you’ll be hearing from in the challenge…
- Alexandra Jamieson
- Lisa Fabrega
- Kate Northrup
- Nisha Moodley
- Erin Stutland
- Lisa Fraley
- Jacob Sokol
- Cora Poage
- Michelle Goldblum & Ali Liepzig
- Rochelle Shieck
- Amanda Daley
- Alexis Neely
- Nitika Chopra
- Nicole Moore
- Jena LaFlamme
You’ll get a short challenge in each day’s video that is a super fun practice and at the end of the challenge, you’ll close out by declaring your theme for the new year.
This is a beautiful feminine practice of starting off the new year where you choose one word that will embody the lessons and accomplishments that you want to see happen over the next year.
You ready to do this thing? Sign up here!
Jeannine has seen profound shifts in the women from the time they start the challenge in December to when it ends in January. Women have major shifts in their lives, and they start to approach things in a new way – it could be changing careers, starting a business, taking better care of themselves, to shifting relationships with loved ones – reallllyyy good stuff!
I can’t wait for you to make this your new holiday ritual! Oh, and here’s to being rockstars when we’re in our late 60’s!
xoxo,
