Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.

I finally watched the documentary Flow last night. It investigates one of the most important political and environmental issues of the 21st century – the world’s water crisis.  And, while it is downright frightening to watch, it is also so full of hope.   I know this might seem a little off the food topic but water and agriculture are so completely intertwined that I just had to mention this movie.  Flow highlights the fact that we use 80% of all the fresh water on our planet to grow food…humans only use 10%!  Therefore, it won’t only be a water crisis soon but a food crisis too. That is a big deal when you think about the fact that we are running out of water pretty fast and there are now only three corporations on the planet that provide fresh, clean water to the majority of the world’s population.  Hmmm…to have that kind of power.  We all know what usually happens when that is the case.
